Seminar with Jan Bohm

Attendance: Full
Our seminar with Jan was an unequivocal success! We are grateful for the knowledge, energy and passion that Jan shared with all of us during the span of this workshop.
Great strides were made during his short stay with us, and future training plans for each working team was set in place. Jan didn’t just teach us how to progress from where we were, but also left each team with next steps, and ensured everyone had an understanding of not just what to do, but why.
Our time with him, whether as a working spot or audit was rewarding and we look forward to hosting him again in the future!

Engagement and Relation Building with Isabella Oxsengendler

2 classes were offered in May with maximum of 5 dogs per class attendance.
This course offered the unique opportunity to work your dog individually with a trainer, and for you to be able to observe and learn from each team present.
Participants benefited from lecture lessons as well as practical one-on-one work with their dog that covered how to improve relations between the dog and owner, promote mutual understanding and trust, and how to bring the best out in your dog to get a more attentive and engaged partner on the training field.
The transformations and engagement between the handlers and dogs was inspiring and we hope that everyone continues building on the foundations they have been taught!

North American SchH Helper School with Marko Koskensalo

Start date: March 23, 2018

End date: March 25, 2018

North American SchH Helper School with Marko Koskensalo

WOW! What a great weekend.
North American SchH Helper School was a success!
Every single helper and spectator at the event is going home with more than a handful of new knowledge that they can take, build on, and apply to their training. The school was hosted by us (K9 Force), organized by Isabella Oxsengendler, taught by the great, Marko Koskensalo.
Marko has an excellent teaching style – explaining in great detail: theory in training helper work, drives, emotions, training tools and so much! Marko was able to challenge every single helper here – not only by the work itself but by the excellent discussions after each session. We want to give a huge thank you to Marko for coming out to do this, you are making a huge contribution to the helper programs in our region and in Canada together.
Thank you to every single helper in this school for coming. As each and every one of you grow – so does the sport, and so do the handlers. We appreciate you.
Thank you to all the handlers who brought dogs for the helpers to work. Although sometimes it can be a sacrifice, it’s a necessary sacrifice and every one of us appreciate you and your time.
And a big thank you to Isabella for organizing this event. This is exactly what the sport needs.
Thank you to EVERYONE who came out and supported this event. We couldn’t do it without you.

Presentation at Prince of Peace School

We were so happy to do a presentation on K9 Force and schutzhund at Prince of Peace school today! We were able to explain to this wonderful class of grades 7-9 what schutzhund is about, common misconceptions and the truth about our dogs, as well as proper greeting etiquette and respectful behaviour for dogs they see out in public as well as their dogs at home. Thank you so much for having us.
